Workouts are tailored to meet general goals of stroke improvement and strength gain. Coach Ireland would assign different levels into different lanes. Make sure to communicate your goals with Coach Ireland!
All swimmers are to be treated with respect no matter where they are in their swim journey. This program only requires you be able to swim across the pool once with rotary breathing (side breathing). If you do not know how to swim yet but are interested in starting, the Santa Fe Swim Club provides adult lessons as well.
If you know you can swim across the pool but do not feel you can do it repeatedly, you may wear an aerobics belt until you are strong enough to swim across repeatedly. I would also recommend signing up for private lessons to improve stroke and feel more confident in your swimming skill.
We do not swim when there is thunder or if there is lightning within 10 miles. We do still swim in rain.
